Women Empowerment Programmes
Khadijah Mia is an advocate of women empowerment programmes and is a human rights activist. She is passionate in facilitating interventions that uplift, develop, empower and promote gender equality as well as mental and emotional health and well being , in the lives of women in South Africa and the world.
Due to her life challenges and based on her professional knowledge and expertise she creates programmes that enable women to work through limiting beliefs and overcome barriers and challenges that may be holding them back.
Some of the strategic programmes that Khadijah has spearheaded and has been involved with include:
- #UnfilteredMe programme (This programme was born as a result of Khadijah’s personal life challenges. A safe space is created to equip women to deal with challenges that they may be facing and find healing from within. Several programmes have been sponsored in partnership with Moja Love TV, touching the lives of women in South Africa)
- Leadership Development programmes (These programmes focus on mentoring a selected group of women from disadvantaged communities and equipping them with skills and growth opportunities. This programme is part of her corporate social responsibility initiative)
- Gender Based Violence Programmes (Khadijah works with individuals one on one who have experienced trauma and facilitates a journey that enables them to work through pain they may be experiencing. This programme is part of her corporate social responsibility initiative)
- Women dealing with grief and loss (Khadijah provides support to women who have experienced loss in terms of stillbirth, miscarriages and infant loss)
